syncopeter I've always had a weak spot for those 8 inch Edison Bell Radios. Harry Hudson had one heck of a band, but unfortunately they're quite rare. Far better than all other 8" labels that were popular in Britain in the early 1930s. There some of the best Bowlly's and Sam Brownes to be found on them, but they are rare as hen's teeth. Collectors just won't part with those. And they were very well recorded for a budget label too. 01/29/2011 - 02:38:19
2reeler @Prozoot Hey! Wait a minute! I MAKE repro Edison Bell Radio record sleeves at 3 bucks per. Right in the Mexican desert. LOL I can even sell you 2, so you can have "Two of Everything"! Ain't that Grand, Professor Zoot?! 05/06/2010 - 20:53:18
Prozoot Yes, I agree -- Harry Hudson rules! What a great band! Wish I could devote an entire channel to H.H. records. Too bad he didn't record for Columbia so we could hear the subtleties of those wonderful charts of his. 02/07/2010 - 04:45:31
mic33george What a treat to find this on your channel uploaded so well.A favourite underrated band of mine.Dont suppose you get many of these little gems in the U.S.Junk shops here in UK used to have loads at one time, though drying up now. 02/07/2010 - 01:16:45
muscleco He did the same tune on Edison Bell Winner (10" red label) very slightly faster I think. Shall I send you some old Radio sleeves? :-) 09/05/2009 - 00:45:07

Prozoot Yo! Pfinkman, ....so, I'm busted on that sleeve. A mouse is a mouse! Hey, it's hard to find Edison Bell Radio sleeves in the middle of the desert. All the Mojave garage sales are dry. Pro-rat. 07/12/2009 - 18:27:11
RatPfink66 Hey pro, I know you're cheating on that sleeve. In 1930 Mickey and Minnie still looked like googly eyed black rats. :D (Still a great sleeve tho, and a most enjoyable recording...) 07/12/2009 - 16:52:28
